Dudley will host Winter Camp

The Yakima Family YMCA will offer a two-night Winter Camp for youth ages 7-15 in December.

Campers will sleep in the lodge and participate in camp activities such as sledding, snowball fights and a movie night.

The camp will meet Dec. 28-30 at Camp Dudley. Cost is $85; YMCA membership is not required. For more information, call Matt Rusch at 972-5271.

Families invited to Mountain Meadow Christmas Camp

Families are invited to decorate gingerbread houses, go sledding and warm up with cocoa and carols by the fire at Ghormley Meadow Christian Camp’s Mountain Meadow Christmas the weekend of Dec. 4-6, 2009.

Participants can visit for the day or enjoy up to two nights in restroom-equipped cabins, which start at $25 for a private room in a cabin with a shared bath. Buffet-style meals are served in the dining hall; kids ages 6 and younger are free.

Activities include cutting your own Christmas tree, board games, hay rides and Sunday morning worship service. Ghormley Meadow is affiliated with First Presbyterian Church of Yakima.

Mountain Meadow Christmas Camp

Families are invited to cut their own Christmas trees, decorate gingerbread houses and sing carols by the fire at Ghormley Meadow Christian Camp’s Mountain Meadow Christmas the weekend of Dec. 5-7, 2008.

The winter retreat for families is a first-ever event for the Rimrock camp, which is affiliated with First Presbyterian Church of Yakima. Participants can visit for the day or enjoy up to two nights in restroom-equipped cabins. Meals and transportation from Yakima are available.

Activities include sledding, hay rides and Sunday morning worship service.

YMCA Winter Leadership Camp

The Yakima Family YMCA will offer a weekend Winter Leadership Camp for youth ages 10-14 in December.

The camp is designed to give youth a push in the right direction on making healthy decisions, but also features camp activities such as snowball fights, sledding and a movie night.
