Valley libraries offer story times

In addition to the many resources available for browsing and checkout at Yakima Valley Libraries, eight library locations offer a regular story time. A child’s experiences during story time can contribute to reading success once the child starts school by introducing them to letters, letter sounds, new vocabulary and the joy of reading.
Story time is a chance for preschool-aged children to experience the fun of books in a group setting. Preschool story time usually includes songs, activities, and crafts in addition to a story read aloud that follow a theme. Baby lapsit story time features songs, rhymes, gentle motions and stories for a baby or toddler with an adult caregiver.
Story times available at Yakima Valley Libraries locations are:

Little Dribblers — Selah
